Lake Street Stories
AN ANTHOLOGY OF 12 SHORT STORIES BY TWIN CITIES AUTHORS (2018)
ABOUT LAKE STREET: Lake Street cuts across Minneapolis from west to east, from the urbane to the urban to the blue-collar. North and south, it is the dividing line between inner-city neighborhoods and tidy bedroom communities. Lake Street is a polyglot of people from all corners of the world mixing with lifelong Minneapolitans. It lives and breathes and pulsates with energy born of hope for a new beginning, with the history of what was.
Published prior to the murder of George Floyd and the resulting riots focused on Lake Street, Lake Street Stories is a love letter to a street that is not defined by our pain but by our hopes.
100% of profits go to CLUES (Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio), a linguistically and culturally relevant resource and service nonprofit organization whose programs and services connect individuals and families to resources, skills, institutions, and systems and create an environment for people to be engaged and empowered.
